The Plan of Salvation:
Salvation is only available by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. Do you know what would happen to your soul if you were to die today? If you do not know without a doubt that you have been saved, why not secure your eternal salvation today.
"Why am I separated
from God?"
Romans 5:12 says "Wherefore, as by one man, sin entered into
the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that we
have all sinned."
That one man was Adam when he took the fruit from Eve and ate. God had provided Adam & Eve a garden that was full of many wonderful things and the only tree they were forbidden to eat from was the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:17). From that point forward, sin had entered into the world and at that point we were separated from God.
The Bible says in Romans 3:10 "There is none righteous, no not one" - and in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God".
"Why do I need salvation
through Jesus Christ?"
It is our decision whether to choose
to accept Jesus Christ as our Savior or reject Him. However, the Bible shows
in Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". Yes, it is our decision
to be made of our own free will, however, if we reject Christ then our punishment
is death. Not just a bodily death but a spiritual death where we will be cast
into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15) and be eternally separated from our
Heavenly Father.
"How do I accept Christ
as my Savior?"
Many people believe
that Jesus Christ lived! But it takes more than just a belief in Jesus Christ.
You must believe on Him as Savior, the only answer to your sin problem and
the only way you can enter Heaven, and you must confess Him as your Savior.
Romans 10:910 says "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." See . . . we serve
a living Savior who even now is at the right hand of God interceeding for
us continually (Romans 8:34). God showed His love toward us through Christ's
death on the Cross " But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us". God was willing to give
up His one and only Son to be a payment for our sins, and Christ was willing
to give His life for us.
"The Sinner's Prayer"
Accepting Christ
as your Savior is as simple as confessing to Christ that you are a Sinner
and that you want to accept Him as your Savior. The "Sinner's Prayer"
can be as simple as this: "Dear Jesus, I come to you now asking for you
to forgive me of my sins. I know that I am a sinner and that you are the only
way for me to receive Salvation and to one day live with you in Heaven. Please
come into my heart and life and be my Savior. In Your name I pray. Amen!"
*If you have prayed this prayer, please contact your local pastor as quickly as possible so that he may work with you and be praying for your spiritual growth.
